2025年1月17日，由西非健康共同体协会(HCOWAA)主办的“2025年西非人工智能大健康峰会”在非洲加纳阿克拉唐宫酒店内盛大召开。现场群英毕至，名流如云：来自加纳、多哥、塞拉利昂、布基纳法索、尼日利亚、尼日尔、几内亚科纳克里、塞内加尔、科特迪瓦、利比里亚以及中国的11个国家共150余名政府代表、医疗行业专业人士、国际合作伙伴等各界重要人士共同受邀出席了本次活动，围绕“推动人工智能在医疗领域的区域一体化，以提升服务水平”这一主题展开了一系列高度聚焦和深度探讨。电子科技大学西非研究中心顾问委员会委员唐宏先生出席“HCOWA西非人工智能大健康峰会”，电子科技大学西非研究中心成员单位成电金盘Prince博士参与大会并作报告发言。

The AI Healthcare Summit and Conference occurred on January 17, 2025, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Tang Palace in Ghana. This event, themed “Revolutionizing Healthcare Through AI: Advancing Regional Integration in Treatment, Big Data, and Supply Chain Systems,” gathered experts to explore AI's extensive influence on healthcare.

Mr. Tang Hong, the standing member of the Advisory Committee of CWAS of UESTC, in the host speech, emphasized the strong relationship between China and Ghana, highlighting how China can support Ghana's development in the healthcare sector. This diplomatic and collaborative approach sets the stage for future cooperation in leveraging AI for healthcare improvements.

Representatives from UESTC GOLDISC (Members of CWAS of UESTC) were invited to attend AI Healthcare Summit and Conference in Tang Palace, Ghana. Dr. Prince Addo from UESTC GOLDISC discussed the role of AI in Medical Imaging Technology and the future of healthcare delivery in Africa. His speech illuminated how AI-powered imaging can lead to more accurate diagnoses and, ultimately, better healthcare outcomes across the continent.

Overall, the summit was a significant step in exploring how AI can revolutionize healthcare in Ghana and contribute to regional integration in the healthcare domain.
