This March , Mr. Saif Ur Rahman, who is the first SPAA student to benefit from the UESTC-UEL Double degree program, obtained his master’s degree from UEL, UK with a “Distinction” UK for the year 2017.
His first master’s degree was from UESTC in “Public Management” while the second from UEL in “International Relations”. His thesis at UEL was based on the topic of “One Belt One Road Initiative (OBOR): Opportunities and Challenges for China and the way forward”.
Our School (SPAA) signed the Double degree program with UEL in 2017 to award a Double Master’s degree program in Public Management and International Public Policy. Chinese and International students are eligible to join in this program.
The Double Master's Degree program is based on the mutual recognition of course credits so that UEL and UESTC students who successfully complete the Double Master’s Degree Program receive a Master’s Degree certificate from UESTC for the Masters in Public Management and a Master’ s Degree certificate from UEL for the MSc in International and Comparative Public Policy.
This program aims to award our students the unique opportunity to cultivate their talents in different countries and to broaden their vision and perspectives in Public Affairs and Administration by learning what other countries are doing in these areas.
University of East London (UEL) is one of the UK's most diverse and fast-growing universities. Established in 1982, UEL is currently based in two sites in East London: in Stratford near the London 2012 Olympic Park, and in the Docklands. The university provides over 130 undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs, including Conflict, Displacement, Human Security; Human Resource Management; and International and Comparative Public Policy.
SPAA is proud of Mr. Saif Ur Rahman for pioneering this project and wish him the best in his future endevours!
