Invited to Participate in the 10th China Human Resource Management Forum

On November 3, 2022, Qi Zhang, a master student from the School of Management and Economics of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) and a member of the research group of Center for West African Studies Research on the Impact of Digital Human Resource Management Practice of West African Enterprises on Organizational Digital Innovation was invited to participate in the 10th China Human Resource Management Forum. The forum with the theme of New Pattern, New Experience and New Path: The Innovation and Continuation of China Human Resource Management is based on the Professional Committee of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management of the China Management Modernization Research Association and led by Shuming Zhao, a senior professor of humanities and social sciences of Nanjing University. The forum is divided into an opening speech, keynote report, sub-forum, journal forum, young scholars forum, enterprise study, special planning, and closing ceremony. Invited representatives included well-known scholars such as Professor Xiaoyun Xie of Zhejiang University, outstanding entrepreneurs such as Haigang Ma, General Manager of Tencents HR Platform Department, and many experts and student representatives in the field of human resource management.

In the sub-forum with the theme of New Technology Research Qi Zhang, a master student of the School of Management and Economics of UESTC, as the representative of the Center for West Africa Studies, reported the paper “Driving by Artificial Intelligence Technology: A Review and Research Agenda for Human Resource Management Practices” online. This paper is a preliminary finding of the Center for West Africa Studies funded project “Research on the Impact of Digital Human Resource Management Practice of West African Enterprises on Organizational Digital Innovation” led by Professor Lu Chen, a researcher at the Center for West African Research. This paper systematically reviewed the relevant literature on artificial intelligence technology and human resource management, elaborated the concept and technical basis of artificial intelligence, introduced the application of artificial intelligence technology in human resource management, analyzed the opportunities and challenges, and finally prospected the future research direction. The participating experts and student representatives had a lively discussion on the topics related to the paper, which also laid a solid foundation for the research group to study further the digital human resources practice of enterprises in West Africa.
