Team Member of CWAS of UESTC elected as the 11th Deputy Secretary General of Chinese Society of African Historical Studies

Prof. Zhao Shurong, Director of CWAS of UESTC, has been elected as the 11th deputy secretary general of Chinese Society of African Historical Studies.


Dr. Zhao Shurong, is Professor at School of Public Affairs and Administration of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), and Director of Center for West African Studies of UESTC. She serves as Associate Editor-in-Chief for Management Science as well as Council Member for Chinese Society of African Historical Studies, the “Belt & Road” African Studies Alliance and Chinese Society for Asian and African Studies (July 2018- ), and Vice President of International Chapter for American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) from July 2017 - June 2018. She has been granted Awards of ASPA Presidential Citation of Merits in 2013 and 2014 respectively. She works at the frontier between politics and management, using quantitative and qualitative research methods in teaching and research. Her research interests cover comparative studies on governance, public policy and strategic management in the context of globalization. She also serves as the Executive Chairperson and Editor in Chief for International Conference on Public Administration (ICPA) and its Proceedings have been collected by ISI Web of Knowledge - ISSHP since 2005 annually. She has published extensively in highly rated journals and her publications have been collected by worldly recognized data bases including EI, IEEE and ISI (CPCI-SSH/S-ISSHP/ISTP). She has published 10 monographs including National Think Tank Report in both Chinese and English-Research Reports on the Elimination of Poverty in China——Cengong County, Guizhou Province;Globalization and Chinese MNCs’ Market Entry Strategy;Public Administration I: Governance in Anglophone West Africa: Challenges and Responses ;Public Administration ·GhanaⅡ: On Poverty Alleviation, Food Security and Public Health in Ghana: Challenges and Responses.
