Congratulations to Prof. Chen Lu's Team at CWAS of UESTC for their research findings selected in WILEY database as a top cited article

Lately, the paper entitled "The mediation effect of Ethics leadership and creative performance: A social information processing perspective" from Professor Chen Lu, researcher at CWAS of UESTC and Professor of School of Management and Economics of UESTC and her supervised doctors Kwame Ansong Wadei and William Ansah Appienti from West Africa was selected as“Top Cited Article 2021-2022” of WILEY database.

Under the background of West Africa, the paper verifies the chain effect of ethical leadership on employee creative performance on West African enterprises from the perspective of social information processing theory with three healthcare, finance and communications companies in Greater Accra, Kumasi and Takradi and other regions in Ghana. The research shows that ethical leadership in West African enterprises has a positive impact on employees creative performance through the chain mediation of psychological security and creative self-efficacy. The research provides management implications for West African enterprises to develop ethical leadership, stimulate employee sense of psychological security and self-efficacy, and improve creative performance. This paper was published in The Journal of Creative Behavior (JCR Q1, five-year impact factor 3.263), a high-level SSCI journal in the field of educational psychology, in 2020, and has been highly regarded and cited by scholars in psychology, education and management.

In recent years, with the guidance of "One Belt and One Road" policy and the strong support of CWAS of UESTC, Professor Chen Lus research team has yielded substantial fruitful work about project application, high-level paper publication, participation in international and domestic conferences, and training of doctoral students studying in China on the theme of Organization and Human resource Management in West African. Kwame Ansong Wadei, the first author of this paper, published 3 papers of SSCI and 2 papers of American Annual Management Conference during his doctoral study, and now he is a teacher at University of Mines and Technology of Ghana. The fourth author is Appienti William Ansah, who published 2 SSCI papers and 2 papers of American Annual Management Conference during the doctoral study, and he is now a teacher at Kumasi Technical University in Ghana. Besides, Professor Chen Lu has been rated as the Outstanding Supervisor of International Doctoral Candidates in China several times.
