On December 1, 2023, the expert team of the 5th ISWAS visited the Confucius Institute at the University of Lome in Togo for research and exchange. The team conducted in-depth exchanges and negotiations with Zhu Yushan, the dean of the college. This research activity aims to further strengthen the cultural and educational exchanges and cooperation between the Confucius Institute at the University of Lome and CWAS of UESTC, and is also of great significance to further promote the cultural exchanges and friendly cooperation between China and Togo.

During the research and exchange, Zhu Yushan introduced the development history of the Institute. Afterwards, the dean led the visiting team to visit the teaching facilities of the college and introduced the teaching mode and curriculum of the college. Finally, the team conducted in-depth exchanges with the teachers and students of the college, and both sides expressed their expectations for further deepening cooperation and exchanges.

By visiting the Confucius Institute at the University of Lome, the expert team highly praised the Chinese language education and promotion in Togo. Cultural exchanges can promote mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, and lay a good foundation for bilateral cooperation in other fields.
