On June 25th,2024 Best Master’s Thesis Award Ceremony for International Students was successfully held. This event was held by the School of Public Administration of UESTC and undertaken by the Center for West Africa Studies.SPA Vice Dean Han Hong, Professor Xing Qiangguo from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, and SPA Associate Professors Gu Yi, Ren Yang, and Long Yi, alongside supervisors of the award-winning students, attended the event. Over 20 international students participated.The event was hosted by Professor Zhao Shurong, director of the Center for West African Studies.
Professor Zhao Shurong warmly welcomed the guests and international students. She first provided a detailed overview of the application criteria and evaluation standards for the Best Master’s Thesis Award. She then encouraged SPA's international students to actively engage in academic research, continuously enhance their academic and innovative skills, and strive for excellence in their studies.
Following this, guests and supervisors honored six outstanding international students with awards and extended their congratulations. Assistant of Center for West Africa Studies Korama Abu Bakaar won the first prize and Rueda Duque Gloria Rebeca won the third prize.
The ceremony not only celebrated the academic accomplishments of international students of SPA, but also promoted academic exchange and cultural integration among them. It fostered a more inclusive academic environment within SPA, inspiring every international student to pursue excellence and achieve new academic heights.
